Press Utility - Bristol 7AM-7PM C Crew

  Press Utility

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Keep spare parts for presses in clean condition and properly stored.  Report damage or wear to Supervisor.
  • Assists press crews at change overs by bringing materials needed to press and by removing dirty or used parts away.
  • Assists in unwrapping rolls and wrapping rolls at the presses.
  • Keeps all areas of press department clean, swept, and organized.
  • Helps remove trash when needed
  • Can operate the Roll Wrapper and shares the duties on the Roll Wrapper with others.
  • Completes all necessary traceability documentation for the core cutter and roll wrapper.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and understand the printing schedule.
  • Knows proper procedure and demonstrates proper procedures for dealing with the staging and moving the print sleeves to help prepare presses for job changes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to cut and stage the cores for press usage.
  • Demonstrates proper 5S and housekeeping procedures.
  • Assist in supply inventories as directed by Supervisors.
  • Fill in for press assistant as needed for absences.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

 

 

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Has the ability to use shrink wrap torch.
  • Has the ability to operate the unicorn lift.
  • Be mechanically inclined for general press adjustments.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Possess a willingness to learn and seek personal growth.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to read and understand work documents and follow written instructions.
  • Be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Support SQF Certification.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to stoop, bend, and twist repetitively.
  • Ability to lift up to and including 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand on feet 12 hours per day.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
